The Church and Parish of Our Lady and St Patrick, Walthamstow is in the Diocese of Brentwood.
The Parish was established in 1908 and the Church was consecrated 1986.
The Parish has been in the care of the SMA Irish Province since 1990. The first Parish Priest was Fr Donal O'Connor SMA, assisted in turn by Fr Pat O'Mahony, Fr Freddie Warner and Fr Tom McNamara.
Several SMA deacons were assigned to the parish before ordination and assignment to Africa: Derek Kearney, Kevin Mulhern, Noel Gillespie.
On 27 January 2007 the pastoral team of Fr John Brown SMA and Fr Eddie Deeney replaced Fathers O'Connor and McNamara.
In 2009 Fr Deeney retired to the SMA House in Dromantine, Newry, Co Down.
